Institute for Independent Business
The
Institute is a not-for-profit research and accreditation organization established in 1984 in the United Kingdom to give independent businesses direct access to some of the world's top business executives. The
IIB is the largest organization of its type in the world with over 5000 Executive Associates having been through the accreditation process.
Jim Fisher received his accreditation as an Executive Associate from the
Institute for Independent Business in April of 2009. Executive Associates around the world work with businesses mostly in the small to mid-sized sector, placing at their disposal mature senior executives to use as a sounding board; support and mentoring whenever and wherever needed; and able to draw on one of the most comprehensive support infrastructures in the world.
Independent businesses often operate in isolation without the network of contacts and support services available to executives of larger companies. As Albert Einstein once remarked "The thinking that created the problem is not useful in solving the problem". It is widely recognized that business ownership is one of the toughest and loneliest jobs in the business world.
